Nairobi Day Tour – Giraffe Center, Kitengela Glass, Kazuri Beads & Arboretum

Our driver/tour guide will pick you at your residence and begin the tour at the Giraffe Center. Expect to see the endangered Rothschild giraffes, feed them, take pictures, and visit the educational center to learn more. You will also explore the natural side of the center with trails leading to a beautiful river and forest with bird songs and relaxation spots.

Next, you will head to Kitengela Glass — a creative, artistic space with glassblowing studios and mosaic art. Walk across the thrilling 65-meter-long swaying suspension bridge over a deep gorge, offering breathtaking views and great photo ops. Visit the glass-making facility to see how recycled glass is turned into unique artwork. Lunch will be packed from Quickmart supermarket and enjoyed on-site.

After lunch, visit Kazuri Beads Factory to witness the creation of world-famous handmade ceramic beads and pottery. Learn about the process from raw clay to finished product, interact with the women artisans, and discover the factory’s mission to empower local women. Shopping opportunities are available.

The final stop is Nairobi Arboretum — a serene space with well-marked trails through indigenous and exotic trees. It’s a haven for birdwatching, relaxation, meditation, and nature photography. After enjoying the peaceful environment, the driver will return you to your residence.
